However, the activities will be boring to do repeatedly. If you also think it is true, there are some recommendations of non-touristy things to do in Ubud as follows.
The first recommendation is visiting Ubud Market in early morning around 03.00 – 04.00 am, you will get an opportunity to see Balinese local wisdom and morning life at the market.
Most of local people will buy basic needs such as vegetables, fruits, coconut and banana leaves which they will use as cooking ingredient and offerings for daily religious ceremonies.
In addition, there are many stall which sell Balinese foods namely: Klepon, Bubuh Sumsum, Bubuh Ketan, and so on which all are good for breakfast.
After visiting the market, you can explore villages around Ubud, namely Penestanan and Katik Lantang Village.
The villages are still unspoiled and beautiful. You can do a jogging along way while witnessing lush view of rice fields at the sides of the route.
Meanwhile, you may also see local peoples do “mebanten saiban”, a daily rituals routine which mean thanks to God.
The last is watching Ogoh-Ogoh Parade, an annual ritual which means to neutralize negative power around the village by parading scary giant dolls.
The parade is held every year exactly a day before Nyepi Day or Silent Day by Hindus, usually in March.
Okay, above are three non-touristy to do in Ubud. Make sure you note all those for making your holiday become memorable.
